Q: Who are the new owners?
A: Mach 1 is now owned by Ian Dalton and Bret Anderson

Ian Dalton - The founder of Badass Rocketry and is the current Vice President of Las Vegas Tripoli Prefect #24. Through Badass Rocketry, Ian has developed relationships with other vendors and prominent members of the rocket community and understands the market. Additionally, he has been working closely with the founder of Mach 1 (Steven Skinner) in co-development of ideas and products currently being offered. He runs a YouTube channel sharing his expertise, manages a few online communities around rocketry related topics, and mentors a number of rocket enthusiasts at any given time. His extensive experience in rocket design, fiberglass construction, and rocketry focused 3D printing will allow Mach 1 to offer products and innovations not yet seen in the hobby.

Bret Anderson - A life long enthusiast of rockets, space, and aviation, Bret is a hobbyist at heart. With a technical background and education in aeronautics, he has devoted time as a lecturer in advanced aerodynamics to college students pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree. With over 12 years in professional aviation, he is submersed in the world’s most cutting edge technologies. A background that embodies the very fundamentals of customer service, he is determined to reveal Mach 1 as the staple to follow for a consistent and exceptional customer experience. The collaboration of innovation between Bret and Ian will reveal that there are still new technological advances to be made in all aspects of model rocketry. This is certainly something to get excited about.

Q: Is Mach 1 still going to be based out of Alabama?
A: No, Mach 1 will be relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada.

Q: What will happen to Mach 1 in the future?
A: Mach 1 will still be the premier fiberglass rocket kit manufacturer known in the market today.

Q: What about my unfulfilled order I already placed through Mach 1?
A: As of this announcement, you should have received an email with an update regarding your order. If you have not received that email, and have an order pending, please contact us by filling out this FORM.

Q: What if my order has an issue I need resolved?
A: Please contact us by filling out this FORM, and we will contact you directly.

Q: Why is Mach 1 not accepting new orders at this time?
A: As Mach 1 transfers operations to the new owners, it would be a disservice to our customers to accept orders that cannot be fulfilled until normal operations resume.

Q: When will Mach 1 Rocketry resume normal operations?
A: April 15, 2021

Q: Why will it take so long to resume normal operations?
A: The move out west will happen February 10th. Once in Las Vegas, manufacturing will need to be set up before orders can be accepted again.
