It has happened to the best of us; you build an incredible rocket and it’s now the pride of your fleet. When you fly it for the first time, the motor CATOs right at ignition and is destroyed in a spectacular show for everyone watching. People all around are impressed and some even cheer, but your heart just sank into your stomach.

Your rocket flys off the pad, straight as an arrow, in a perfect ascent to apogee. It arcs over and the second before the altimeters set off the charges, panic sets in. You forgot to arm your electronics. Those seconds are fleeting because the speed that rocket comes down makes everyone panic in a “heads up” warning. Thud. The rocket has taken a significant core sample of dirt while splitting the body tube in the process. 

This rarely happens, but your rocket leaves the pad, arcs over perfectly, deploys recovery, and descends at a nice 18 FPS onto the lake bed. You examine it and no one can explain how your fin snapped from that landing, but it did. You did everything right, but your rocket is now out of commission. 

Things happen and no one is happy about it. You have invested a lot of money and time into your rockets. Don’t worry, we have you covered. The Send It Warranty covers you based on what happened to your rocket. All we need you to do is fill out the Warranty Claim form and attach photo or video proof of the issue, and we will take care of the rest. 

Here is how you are covered:

• If your rocket becomes unsafe to fly for whatever reason, and is not reasonably repairable, we will replace all necessary
   components (including hardware) to make the rocket whole at 25% off MSRP. This covers events such as: CATO, lawn dart, forgetting to install recovery, quick links left open, shredding, etc.

 

• If your rocket is damaged and unsafe to fly, after it was flown and recovered via a reasonable and expected flight profile, we will replace all necessary components (including hardware) to make the rocket whole at 40% off MSRP. This includes cracking of an airframe, snapped fins, etc. 

 

Fine print:

This warranty only covers rocket kits purchased up to one (1) year before the submission of the claim. Individual components purchased are not covered. Warranty claims are at the sole discretion of Mach 1 Rocketry and does not constitute a legal obligation to the purchaser, builder, or flyer of the rocket. The term “reasonably” will be defined by Mach 1 Rocketry at the time the claim is submitted and may require photographic or video evidence.  Only fiberglass components manufactured by Mach 1 Rocketry are covered by this warranty. This warranty does not cover products such as Badass Rocketry components, Bandit Components, recovery items, and any other third party products. This warranty does not cover lost or stolen goods. Only items purchased directly through Mach 1 Rocketry will be covered by this warranty. If you have read this far, you are a gentleman/lady and a scholar. Only the original purchaser of the product is covered by the warranty.
